This Privacy Policy explains how baabum collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our website, mobile apps, marketplace, discovery features, card search tools, collection tools, and chat features.

baabum is built for sports and trading card game collectors. The app may help users search card market data, manage a collection, create listings, discover approximate nearby trade opportunities, and communicate with other collectors.

Information we collect

• Account information, such as email address, authentication provider, display name, profile settings, language, currency, and collecting preferences.
• Collection and listing information, including card identity details, user-entered card values, card photos, listing prices, trade preferences, visibility settings, and listing status.
• Marketplace and search activity, including search terms, exclusions, provider responses, cached market data, confidence signals, source, timestamps, and usage limits.
• Approximate location data used to show local listings and discovery radius. baabum is designed to avoid exposing exact card or meetup locations publicly.
• Chat and safety information, including messages, shared card photos, moderation signals, interest requests, accepted conversations, reports, blocks, and deletion actions.
• Device, log, and usage data, such as IP address, browser or device type, crash logs, diagnostic data, rate-limit events, and security logs.

How we use information

• Provide account, authentication, profile, collection, listing, discovery, chat, and search features.
• Display relevant cards, local trade opportunities, approximate zones, collecting preferences, and public profiles when users opt in.
• Separate sold comps, active asking prices, user-entered values, and listing prices so users can understand each signal.
• Apply usage limits, prevent abuse, detect fraud, improve safety, moderate uploaded images, and enforce our Terms of Use.
• Improve performance, reliability, accessibility, localization, and product quality.
• Communicate with users about account, security, product, legal, and support matters.

Market data and provider data

baabum may call third-party data providers from server-side systems to retrieve card search results, sold comps, active listing signals, currency conversion, image safety checks, or other market data. Provider credentials are not exposed in the client app.

Provider results may be normalized and cached with source, fetched timestamp, date range, sample size, currency, confidence, and related metadata. baabum does not treat active asking prices as sold comps.

Sharing information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us operate baabum, such as hosting, database, authentication, storage, analytics, payment, crash reporting, email, maps, image moderation, and market data providers.

Public profile and public collection information is visible only when the user enables it or chooses to publish a listing. Exact location data is not intended to be shown publicly. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to investigate abuse, or in connection with a business transfer.

Your choices and controls

• You can control profile visibility, public collection visibility, collection card visibility, market settings, language, accessibility preferences, and account settings in the app.
• You can delete conversations or uploaded chat photos where the product supports it.
• You can request account deletion or data deletion by contacting support.
• You can limit location access through your device or browser settings.

Children and age safety

baabum is not intended for children under 13. Users who are not old enough to arrange trades safely should not arrange in-person meetups without a parent or guardian. Some trading or marketplace features may be restricted based on age and safety settings.

baabum may block uploads that appear to contain children, teens, adult content, unsafe content, or unrelated private images, unless the image appears to be a collectible card or drawing and the feature allows it.

Security and retention

We use technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect user data. No internet service is perfectly secure, so users should avoid sharing sensitive personal, financial, or location details in chat.

We keep information as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion.

International users

baabum may process information in Canada, the United States, and other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy rights may vary by location. Users may contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, or objection rights.
